Coal is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of carbon that is used to produce electricity or heat through combustion. It currently meets a third of the world's energy needs and produces roughly two-fifths of global electricity. Coke is a fuel usually derived from coal that is used for smelting iron ore during steel manufacturing.
Pectrolum's team entered the coal market in 2008 and today trades the following coal types: bituminous, subbituminous, lignite, and coal anthracite out of four main regional centers, which are Singapore, India, Canada, and Geneva. We partner with the United States, Indonesia, Canada, and South Africa in every major mining region in the world.
We invest in production, logistics, and infrastructures, and we supply coal across the Asia pacific region and into most of the main European power utilities. Pectrolum has the capacity to supply over 10 million tons of coal annually.
Crude Oil and Gas
Crude oil is a natural fossil fuel that, once refined, is used to create the energy sources used industrially and domestically, from gasoline and diesel to power vehicles, to jet fuel for aircraft and fuel for ships. It is also used widely in the production of chemical products such as pharmaceuticals, solvents, fertilizers, pesticides, and plastics.
Pectrolum has a long history of serving leading refiners, providing them with reliable and consistent supply for quality crude oil. We also work in long-term partnerships with crude oil producers, helping them to maximize the value of their supply through effective marketing.
